Silves Casa da Cultura

The splendor of Muslim Silves

The Casa da Cultura in Silves was built at the end of 1914 and was built to explore the Islamic and Mediterranean elements connected to Silves. All new aspects of the building have been constructed using ancient building techniques and drawing on Islamic influences throughout. The main room of the building has the capacity to hold 130 people in a banquet style while there are also three parallel halls, each able to hold between 20 and 100 people. This intimate space also boasts two courtyard areas with the potential to be able to serve coffee breaks, lunches or host small cocktail parties.
