Serralves Foundation

Contemporary, sophisticated and versatile

The Serralves Foundation is considered to be one of Portugal's leading cultural institutions and the most important in the North of Portugal. The Foundation's entire architectural and landscape heritage has been classified as a National Monument since December 6, 2012, and has been listed as a Building of Public Interest since 1996.

The Museum of Contemporary Art, designed by álvaro Siza, is located within a remarkable architectural and landscape heritage site, that was built in the 30s, including gardens designed by Jacques Greber and Serralves Villa, a unique example of Art Deco.

Serralves can offer privileged spaces for your event, with unique features, where nature and contemporary architecture are combined in a unique way, offering unique and versatile environments that can respond to different types of events:
• in the Museum: from the lobby to the library, including the auditorium, restaurant and various rooms;
• in the Villa: various rooms with a privileged location overlooking the gardens;
• in the Park: 18 acres with various locations that offer quiet environments and unique settings for the promotion of events involving a larger number of people.

Located in one of Porto's most distinguished zones and with good access from the historic centre and the main thoroughfares, the Foundation is a singular venue within the city, where culture and heritage converge within a contemporary vision.
